Albert Y. Chen received the Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from National Taiwan University (NTU), the Master of Science degree in CEE from the University of California at Los Angeles, Los Angeles, and the Master of Computer Science degree and the Ph.D. degree in CEE from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (UIUC). He is currently a Professor with the Department of Civil Engineering, NTU. His research interests include applying artificial intelligence to traffic safety, emergency medical systems, and sustainable transportation infrastructure systems.
