Ahmed has more than 30 years of expertise in the area of using Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and Engineering Surveying. His research focuses on precise positioning, such as precise point positioning (PPP), PNT for monitoring climate change, integrity monitoring, data validation and quality control, Positioning from LEO systems, and estimation theory. The research projects of El-Mowafy are linked to practical applications with significant economic and social values, such as climate change, transport, mining, aviation, precision farming, machine automation, surveying and construction.
