Bio
I am a Materials Engineer with specialization in Polymer Engineering. During the PhD, I worked on the thermo-mechanical properties of polymer/clay nanocomposite systems. While worked on covalent polymer gel systems during the post-doctorate in France. Now a days, I am working as a postdoctorate researcher in the Department of Chemistry, Queen's University, Kingston, Canada. I am working on the thermal, rheological and failure behaviors of polymer modified asphalt cement.
I taught various undergraduate and graduate courses at SCME including Fundamentals of Engineering Materials, Polymer Engineering, Polymer Science, Composite Materials, Mechanical Behavior of Materials, Phase Transformation & Equilibria.
I am also Involved in the administration work of the department as undergraduate coordinator (UG Coordinator), associate editor of NUST Journal of Engineering Sciences (NJES).
My research interests include;
Structure-properties relationships of Biopolymers and polymers/nanofiller composites, Crystallization kinetics of semi-crystalline polymers, Hybrid polymer gels and aerogels, Thermo-mechanical and dielectric properties of polymer nanocomposites, EMI shielding properties of polymer blends and polymer nanocomposites, Rheology of asphalt cements
