Bio
Ahmad Ashrif A. Bakar (Senior Member, IEEE) received the bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Kajang, Malaysia, in 2002, the master’s degree in communications and network system engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang, Malaysia, in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, QLD, Australia, in 2010.
Since 2020, he has been a Professor at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Bangi, Malaysia. He has authored more than 170 technical articles in the areas of optical sensor technologies and systems, engineering education, and community engagement.
Dr. Bakar is a Senior Member of The Optical Society of America (previously OSA).
