Bio
Agnieszka Najda is currently working in the Department of Vegetable Crops and Medicinal Plants at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin in Poland. Directs research at the Laboratory Quality Vegetable and Medicinal Plants in Poland. Her research work focuses on the use of natural resources to develop new products with a wide range of applications, including food, pharmacology and agriculture. Her doctoral thesis focused mainly on the isolation of bioactive compounds from ribbed celery in various phases of plant growth and development in order to discover new uses of the raw material. Her post-doctoral research focused mainly on the isolation of biologically active compounds from both vegetable, aromatic and medicinal plants. Her research interests focus on natural products in medicinal plants and their bioactivity as antioxidants as well as antibacterial, anti-cancer and antifungal agents. She has published over 220 scientific articles and review articles in peer-reviewed journals. She is interested in cooperating with researchers with similar interests. Supports efforts to ensure a fair, responsible and balanced division of research.
