Bio
Agnieszka Ludwiczuk, Ph.D., studied chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, Lublin, Poland, and received her Master’s degree in 1998. In this same year she started to work at the Department of Pharmacognosy with the Medicinal Plants Unit, Medical University of Lublin, initially as a Scientific and Technical Worker, then as a Research Assistant, and since 2007 as Assistant Professor. In 2005, she obtained her Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutical sciences, and in June 2015 she finished habilitation.
Internships at foreign and national academic and research centers:
- 01/02.2003 and 11/12.2003; two months internship at the Research Institute for Medicinal Plants in Budakalász, Hungary (Prof. Dr. Szabolcs Nyiredy)
- 01.04.2007 – 31.03.2010; postdoctoral fellowships, Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Tokushima Bunri University, Tokushima, Japan (Prof. Dr. Yoshinori Asakawa)
Her scientific interests cover the chemosystematics of non-vascular plants from the division Marchantiophyta based on their terpenoid constituents. She is also working on bioactivity-guided isolation and the structural characterization of compounds from medicinal, aromatic, and spore-forming plants.
