Bio
Adam Szydlowski received the M. Sc. degree from the Warsaw University, Poland, and the Ph. D. degree from the Military University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland, in 1970 and 1987, respectively.
From 1970 to 1975, he was with the Military University of Technology. In 1976, he joined the plasma-focus (PF) experiment group at the Institute of Plasma Physics and Laser Microfusion, Warsaw, Poland, where he was engaged in research on neutron and fast ion emission from PF discharges. Since 1988, he has been with the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology, Soltan Institute for Nuclear Studies, Warsaw, Poland. In the last ten years, he has worked for several months at the IPF, Stuttgart, Germany, at the Lebedev Institute, Moscow, at Uppsala University, Sweden, and at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. His research has spanned the phenomena of corpuscular and X-ray emission from high-temperature plasmas and especially from PF-facilities, and currently he is developing the solid state nuclear track detector technique for corpuscular diagnostics of different high-temperature plasma objects. He is a co-author of more than 100 scientific papers on high-temperature plasma research.
