Abu Hashem

Dr. Abu Hashem received his Ph.D. in Nanobiotechnology (with distinction), University of Malaya, Malaysia, 2022; and B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biochemistry (University of Dhaka, 1996–2002, Bangladesh). He has been working as a Principal Scientific Officer, and Head of the Division, Microbial Biotechnology Division, and institutional coordinator at the National Institute of Biotechnology. He received a Certificate of Excellence for outstanding contributions to the institute's overall activities (NIB, 2010), a Certificate of Appreciation for outstanding contributions to the ADP project implementation (NIB, 2013), and a Certificate of Integrity by the NIB under the national integrity strategy of the Bangladesh government in 2018. He received several awards, including three international awards related to his PhD program. His areas of expertise are plant biotechnology, microbial biotechnology, molecular biology, immunology, bioinformatics, nanotechnology, and biosensors. As of now, he has published over 30 articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals, 14 conference abstracts, and 6 book chapters (with 2 accepted) with world-famous publishers. He received a letter of congratulations and a letter of appreciation from Elsevier for his impactful publication and contribution to Elsevier's product and service development, respectively.
