Abhishek N Prasad

Abhishek Prasad received the M.S. degree in biomedical engineering from Louisiana Tech University and the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and the University of Medicine and Dentistry. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Miami. The goal of his Neural Interfaces Laboratory is to develop brain and spinal cord machine interfaces to restore communication and control in paralyzed individuals. The Neural Interfaces Laboratory is also involved in neural probe development by understanding and mitigating various abiotic and biotic failure mechanisms in neural electrode failure.
