In 1978, he graduated from Fırat University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Between 1980-83 on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture. He completed his master education in Clinics at Ankara Univer-sity Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. He was appointed to Selcuk University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine as a lecturer. After completing his doctorate in 1991, he has been working as an adjunt professor since 1993 and as a professor since 1999 at the same uni-versity. He had academic efforts at many universities, from the West to the East, such as University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (Pakistan), University of Turine Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (Italy), Masaryk University Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) centre (Czech Republic), Utrecht University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Wageningen University NMR centre (The Nether-lands), University of Birmingham NMR centre (England), University of Guelph Ontario Veterinary College (Canada), Near East University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (Northen Cyprus). His academic activities include international projects supported by the European Union (involved in FP7, Horizon 2020, Research Infrastructures), national projects supported by TUBITAK, Scientific research projects coordination unit, and BOREN; manuscripts published in journals with high impact factor (indexing by Web of Science), and presentations at international meetings, workshops and courses. He continues to coordinate his projects funded from the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Union, at University of Florence, CERM NMR centre (Italy). His main topics are omics, especially NMR based metabolomics, and boron metabolism and its efficiency in animal diseases. He is a patent owner titled ‘boronated vaccine’ and ‘boronated feed’.
