Abdelkader Benabou graduated in material sciences in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Lille, Lille, France, in 2002 for research related to the modeling of magnetic hysteresis. After two years of postdoctoral position, he took up an academic post at University of Lille in 2004, where he is currently an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering. His research activities are mainly focused on the characterization and modeling of magnetic materials for energy conversion devices, especially while accounting for the impact of the manufacturing processes.
