Bio
Ana Nieto-Vieites.
Degree in Psychology from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). Master in Psychogerontology by the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). He is currently a PhD student in the Psychological Development, Learning and Health program at the USC. Her doctoral thesis focuses on the efficacy of a cognitive training video game, with and without transcranial electrical stimulation, in elderly people with subjective cognitive complaints and MCI.
She has participated as an assistant researcher in the CompAs study on normal and pathological aging process and other related studies from 2016 to 2022. She is part of the Applied Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychoxerontology research group (GI-1807) at USC and completed a research stay in O Porto. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology at USC from 2018 to present. She has participated in several conferences and journals in the field of cognitive aging.
Her current research interests include the study of early cognitive impairment, including early detection and non-pharmacological intervention; longitudinal studies of cognitive aging; and the use of new technologies as an alternative for cognitive training.
