Ana Vučurović main research interest are: Virus and fungal diseases of vegetables, field crops and ornamentals; Quarantine viruses and fungi of vegetables and ornamentals; Tobacco viruses; Cucurbit viruses; Tomato spotted wilt virus, Iris yellow spot virus and other viruses belonging to the Tospovirus genus; Seed transmission of plant viruses and fungi; Diagnosis of virus and fungal diseases, detection, identification of plant viruses and fungi; Serology; Molecular characterization of plant viruses; Alternaria species infecting ornamentals; Phytophthora ramorum, Phytophthora complex on raspberry, Fusarium complex on sorghum.
Ana Vučurović major research achievements: 115 scientific publications; Development of one Standard Operating Procedures for Serbian Plant Diagnostic Network; Familiar with conventional, serological and molecular technique for detection of several quarantine and regulated plant pathogens, tobacco and pumpkin viruses, familiar with detection of plant viruses with Next Generation Sequencing. Participation in more than 10 national and international projects.
