Bio
Alexandre Satrapinski received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from State Maritime Technological University (formerly Leningrad Institute of Shipbuilding), Leningrad, Russia, in 1972, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical instrumentation engineering from the Institute of Metrology Mendeleev (VNIIM), St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1986.
From 1972 to 1986 and from 1989 to 1991, he was with VNIIM. From 1986 to 1989, he was a Research Fellow with the Electricity Section, Bureau International des Poides et Measures, Sèvres, France, where he was involved in the quantum Hall-effect resistance standard. Since 1991, he has been with the Electricity Section of MIKES Metrology, Technical Research Center of Finland Ltd, Espoo, Finland, where he is currently a Senior Researcher. He is currently involved in the improvements to the quantized Hall resistance standard, the development of impedance standards and bridges, and the study of graphene quantum Hall-effect devices.
