Bio
Abraham Rubinstein (M’02) received the Master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Zulia, Maracaibo, Venezuela, in 2000, and the Ph.D. degree in electromagnetic compatibility from the the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2004,
He was a Senior Researcher and Teaching Assistant in the EPFL until 2006. He worked as an independent consultant until 2007, when he joined the HEIG-VD in Yverdon. He is currently a member of the Institute for Communication and Information Technologies (IICT), the HEIG-VD, where he is a Senior Research Engineer and Lecturer in Information Security. He has also extensive experience on fast algorithms and parallel methods for the computation and simulations of physical phenomena, design, and development of human–machine Interfacing Systems, protocol, and procedure design for security systems of oil extraction platforms and implementation on embedded control systems. He is author or coauthor of more than 30 scientific papers published in reviewed journals and presented at international conferences.
Dr. Rubinstein appeared on the List of Honor of the College of Engineering of the University of Zulia. He also received the Maraven Prize of Academic Excellence and obtained the award of Best Thesis in Venezuela for the Degree of Electrical Engineering granted by INELECTRA. He is a member of the Communications Society.
