Bio
Atish Roy received the bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physics from Banaras Hindu University, India, and the Ph.D. degree from the CSIR—National Physical Laboratory, India, where he worked on developing a single trapped ytterbium ion-based optical atomic clock. He is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow with the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light, Erlangen, Germany, where his research work focuses on achieving efficient photon-atom coupling in free space.
