Antonio Roberto Piriz

Antonio Roberto Piriz received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1979 and 1984, respectively. He is currently with the University of Castilla La-Mancha, Ciudad Real, Spain, where he is a Full Professor, the leader of the research group on Fluids and Plasmas, and the Director of the Institute for Energy Research. He has been a Professor with the Universities of Buenos Aires at the Centro de la Provincia (UNCPBA) and at the Mar del Plata (UNMdP), Argentina. From 1984 to 1996, he was a Senior Researcher with the National Research Council (CONICET) of Argentina. From 1986 to 1988, he was a Visiting Professor with the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy, and the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. He was a Scientific Consultant with the Ente Nazionale per la Energia (ENEA), Frascati, Italy, from 1991 to 1996 and Max Planck Institut fuer Quantenoptik, Garching, Germany, in 1993. His research interests include plasma physics and fluid dynamics in inertial confinement fusion and high-energy-density-matter-related problems.
