The focus of her work is on better determining an individual patient's response to specific cancer therapies by learning more about tumor dormancy; resistance in cancers; cancer genetics and epigenetics. The overall aims of her researches are not only to diagnose cancer early but also to monitor patient response and identify drug resistance. Her work has already been recognized by many awards, locally and globally. Her research work received a L’OREAL UNESCO Award “For Women in Science” in 2017. She was nominated to speak at the United Nations Head Quarters (UN) in the General Assembly Hall in New York-US for three consecutive years, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
