个人简介
Dr. Sayler’s research focuses on controlling atomic and molecular reactions with intense ultra-short laser pulses as well as creating and characterizing novel laser sources.
A highly resourceful and productive experimental AMO physics group leader experienced in the design and use of intense ultrafast lasers and optics, particle detection, and particle beams. The leading element or an essential member of experimental and theoretical groups both at FSU Jena and the J. R. Macdonald Laboratory and internationally in collaborations with many other leading scientists and institutes.Personal responsibilities have included experimental design and implementation, data acquisition and analysis, and article preparation and presentation. This work is comprised of studies of high-intensity ultra-short laser-molecule and laser atom interactions, development and optimization of few-cycle sources at 800 (Ti:Sapphire) and 1800 nm (OPA), and ion molecule collisions using COLTRIMS, VMI, and ion-beam imaging. Fruits of this work include multiple publications in the principle peer-reviewed journals of the field, several pending patents, and numerous presentations at international conferences. Additionally, has a passion for teaching and highly successful and diverse record as an instructor.
