Bio
Jan Hendriks investigates the impact of substances to plants, animals and man. As empirical research across thousands of chemical substances, geographical sites, biological species and technological constructs (e.g., engines, buildings, dikes) is severely limited by financial, practical and ethical constraints, he focuses on mathematical models derived from cross-disciplinary principles that require few input data. The models are tuned and tested in collaboration with lab and field scientists and subsequently applied to solve environmental problems together with governments, agencies, consultancies and industries.
