The contributions to science, society and the training of young researchers are listed below:
From 2005 to 2009 I worked as a subcontractor at Airbus where, in addition to being in contact with aircraft manufacturing, I acquired certain knowledge that later had repercussions on my evolution. Highlights: handling of software for Material Resource Planning, Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing and Discrete Event Simulation.
In 2009 I started a contract as a research assistant in the project: "Economic, energy and environmental sustainability of the machining of materials of aeronautical interest”. Developed at the School of Engineering (ESI) , University of Cadiz (UCA). As a result of this project, publications are made in international conferences and publications in journals indexed in Scopus. At the same time, during this period, I wrote my thesis project entitled "Study of the influence of machining on the functional performance of aluminium alloys for strategic use in the aeronautical industry".
In 2011 I obtained a pre-doctoral fellowship for deficit areas of the “Plan Propio of the University of Cadiz”, in the programme " Fellowship/contract for the Training of Research Staff", this fellowship allows me to have funding for the completion of the thesis. This fellowship was obtained and developed in the area of manufacturing process engineering. At the end of this period I published in journals indexed in the journal citation reports (JCR), as well as in international conferences.
In 2013 I got a contract as graduate teaching assistant in the area of manufacturing processes engineering at the University of Cadiz. During this period of time, I collaborate as a research team in various transfer contracts with Airbus (OTRI) that arise in the TEP-027 research group. In 2016 I obtained my PhD and in the following years I carried out and collaborated in publications in journals indexed in the JCR.
In 2017 I obtained a position as lecturer. In this year also I participated as a researcher in charge of a UCA-Navantia transfer project entitled "Shipyard 4.0: development of a sustainable naval production model based on advanced manufacturing and enabling technologies for Industry 4.0". The line I lead is entitled: "Modelling and Simulation". Along with the aforementioned transfer project, in 2018 I participated in the Industrial Doctoral Thesis programme (UCA), directing the doctoral thesis entitled: Proposal and development of a multi-agent system for decision-making in the manufacture of surface ship elements in the production environment of the Bahía de Cádiz Shipyard Business Unit. This industrial doctoral thesis is still in progress and the first results are currently being published in JCR-indexed journals.
In 2018 I have collaborated in a project of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. State Sub-programme for Research Infrastructures and Scientific-Technical Equipment. Project: Advanced Characterisation of Functional Surfaces (EQC2018-005131-P). The proposal submitted is accepted and the School of Engineering (ESI) is equipped with three machines for the advanced characterisation of surfaces: a 100 kN fatigue machine, a residual stress measuring machine using electronic speckle interferometry (ESPI) and a surface measuring machine using optical interferometry.
In the last period, 2019 onwards, I carried out transfer collaborations (OTRI) with ACERINOX directing one of the transfer project. At the same time, I continue to collaborate in publications in books from prestigious publishers as well as publications in international congresses and journals indexed in the JCR.
Finally, I would like to point out that from 2019 I have carried out the coordination of degree courses at my work centre: coordinator of the degree in mechanical engineering and coordinator of the university master's degree in manufacturing engineering.
