Alessandro Andreadis

Alessandro Andreadis received the graduate degree in electronic engineering from the University of Florence, Italy, in 1993. He has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Engineering, Siena University, Italy, since 1998. In 1993, he received a research grant from the public administration of Regione Toscana for a two-year research program on broadband networks based on SMDS and DQDB protocols. His work was funded for an additional year toward the development and diffusion of telematic services, via MAN networks to small and medium enterprises of the territory. He has been a contract Professor at the Department of Communication Science and at the School of Engineering of the University of Siena. He is presently teaching courses on “Transmission and Processing of Information in Multimedia Systems” and of “Personal Communications.” Since 1995, he has been working on various international projects funded by the European Union, in the Advanced Communication Technologies and Services Information Society Technologies programs. His research interests focus on adaptive multimedia applications for fixed and mobile networks, traffic modeling, ATM-wireless integration, and TCP/IP on wireless and mobile networks.
