I am a robotics researcher and developer with both an academic and commercial background. As a researcher, I have published extensively on robotics and vision, with a concentration on stereo depth, visual localization and mapping, object recognition, and deep ML for robotics. In the commercial area, I have co-founded three companies, have over 20 patents, and designed hardware and software in current commercial use. I have a strong background in taking research and applying it to solve practical problems, and in creating products. My skills include research, programming, product design and manufacture, technical writing, and project and people management.
