摘要
The present study reports on harnessing bimetallic (V and Ni) oxide nanoparticles supported on ionic liquidfunctionalized silica for enhancing catalytic performance in epoxidation and hydrogenation reactions. The assynthesized catalyst was ably characterized through various techniques such as FTIR, X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). A selective organic transformation of Isophorone to Homalinol via two-steps tandem reaction significantly promoted by synthesized catalyst. During epoxidation and hydrogenation reactions, V-NiNPs@SILP catalyst demonstrated excellent catalytic performance, leading to 98.23 % conversion with 99.06 % selectivity. Moreover, the synthesized catalyst exhibited recyclability for five consecutive cycles with minute loss in activity.
